Ghost Army

Ghost Army

The World War II "Ghost Army" (23rd Headquarters Special Troops) was a specialized U.S. Army unit that used inflatable tanks, fake radio traffic, and sound effects to deceive the German army, simulating a much larger force to protect Allied units. Their legacy is directly connected to modern Psychological Operations (PSYOP) through the use of deception, "non-traditional" warfare, and the weaponization of information.
